Mrs. Margaret Pauliene Goodspeed Nalley, age 84, of Clifton Forge, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD. She was the wife of the late John Robert Nalley.
Mrs. Nalley was born October 13, 1930 in McAlester, OK, the daughter of the late Charles Joseph Goodspeed and Hazel Mae Kessler Goodspeed. A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Nalley was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Clifton Forge.
Mrs. Nalley is survived by two sons, John Hazen Nalley of Frederick, MD and Robert Wallace Nalley of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Alice Marie Gravely of Beverly, MD and Helen Mary Renar of Covington; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Bernard Joseph Goodspeed of Seattle, WA; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Goodspeed Giandrone of McAlester, OK.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Nalley was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Eugene Nalley and one great grandson, Thomas Arthur Gravely, Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Tom Collins officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble by 12:45 P.M. to attend the Christian Wake service at 1:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tom Gravely, Robert Nalley, and John Nalley.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 620 Jefferson Avenue, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
