Obituary for Daryl Wayne Cook
Mr. Daryl "Wayne" Cook, age 68, of Covington, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem.
Mr. Cook was born July 16, 1954 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Robert Clayton Cook and Rachel Arrington Cook. He had been employed by the former Tanglewood Manor Nursing Home. He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Cook is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Cook Thompson and husband, Terry of Covington and Susan Cook Kelley and husband, Mike of Covington; a brother, William "Mike" Cook of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert "Sonny" Cook and Jack Cook; two sisters, Jean Cook Huffman and Glenna Cook Harmon.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
