Obituary for Frances Doss
Mrs. Frances Lucille Doss passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023 at Seasons Place in Lewisburg, WV at the age of 95.
She was the daughter of Margaret and Charles Doss, who preceded her in death. Born in Renick, WV on October 27, 1927, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Doss, Jr. and sister, Irene Lockhart as well as two nephews, David and Edward Lockhart.
She is survived by three nephews, Bruce Doss (Alice), Randy Doss and Charles Lockhart and a niece, Jean Jennings (James) as well as a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was a retired nurse who loved her job caring for others. She retired from Denmar State Hospital in WV as director of nurses and moved to Covington to be near her sister and her family.
In accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at Edgemont Presbyterian Church, where she had been a longtime member, on February 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Rev. James MacDougal officiating.
