Obituary for Carol Broughman
Mrs. Alice Carol Broughman, age 83, of Covington, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of Bobby Leional Broughman.
Mrs. Broughman was born June 5, 1939 in White Sulphur Springs, WV, the daughter of the late Elwood Buckland and Alma Saunders Buckland. During her working career, she was employed by Kroger's and Mick or Mack before retiring from Alleghany Regional Hospital where she worked as a unit secretary for thirty-nine years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Broughman is survived by a daughter, Melissa Carol Crush and husband, Howard of Covington; two brothers, Ronnie Buckland and wife, Pam of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Roy Buckland and wife, Cherryl of Covington; a sister, Sandra J. Campbell and husband, Bruce of Sanford FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
