Mr. Robert Lewis St. Clair, age 85, of Covington, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Brian Center Nursing Care, Low Moor. He was the husband of the late Arleigh Warwick St. Clair.
Mr. St. Clair was born July 3, 1937 in Charleston, SC, the son of the late Claude W. St. Clair and Eudora Huffman St. Clair. He was employed as a traffic manager by Westvaco for a number of years before his retirement. Mr. St. Clair was a longtime active member of Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He served his church as former deacon and as an elder where he served as clerk of the session and moderator. Bob's favorite hobby was photography and he enjoyed taking many great photos of this community and the people in it.
Mr. St. Clair is survived by two sons, Timothy David St. Clair and wife, Marian of Greenville, SC and Stephen Robert St. Clair of Berkley Heights, NJ; a daughter, Lisa St. Clair Ahlbrand and husband, Steve of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Andrew David St. Clair, Daniel Royce St. Clair, Sarah Elizabeth Ellinwood, Ian Robert St. Clair and Amanda Ross St. Clair; three great grandchildren, Caitlin Grace St. Clair, David Anthony St. Clair and Adam Ross Ellinwood; and a sister, Carolyn Ayers of Ocala, FL.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 12, 2022 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. James MacDougall officiating. Entombment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Mr. St. Clair's grandsons and selected from the men of Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church who attend the service.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
