Obituary for Clarence Leon Forren
Mr. Clarence Leon Forren, age 99, of Rocky Mount, formerly of Covington, died Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke. He was the husband of the late Eva Booze Forren.
Mr. Forren was born September 15, 1923 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Clarence James Forren and Edna Willey Forren. A lifetime resident of this community, he was the owner and operator of the former Forren's Shell. Clarence was a member of Grace Brethren Church.
Mr. Forren is survived by a daughter, Brenda Craft of Rocky Mount; a son, Clarence W. Forren of Covington; three grandchildren, Jody Poff, Tammy Lawless and Karey Fralin; and six great grandchildren, Gracie Poff, Abby Poff, Darrien Beesley, Spencer Snead, Hannah Fralin and Keeley Minter.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
