Obituary for Marilyn Leigh Huntley (Dame)
Mrs. Marilyn Leigh Dame Huntley, age 66, of Newport News, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Newport News Nursing and Rehab Center, Newport News. She was the wife of the late David Larkin
Huntley.
Mrs. Huntley was born May 4, 1956 in Clifton Forge, the daughter of Nancy Lee Sutphin Dame and the late Mylan Stanford Dame. During her working career, she was employed in the Newport News Shipbuilding Maintenance Department.
In addition to her mother, Nancy Dame, Mrs. Huntley is survived by a brother, Patrick Marcel Dame of Covington; a sister-in-law, Sarah New Dame of Columbia; a niece, Jessica Leann Dame; and a number of cousins.
In addition to her father, Mylan Dame, and her husband, David Huntley, Mrs. Huntley was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Allen Dame.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating.
