Obituary for Frederick Steven May Sr.
Mr. Frederick Steven May Sr., age 71, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022.
Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Beulah May; his brothers, Ralph May, Carlos May, Buddy May, Basil May, Berlin May and infant brother, Daniel May as well as his sisters, Edith Ehlers and Christina Young.
Mr. May is survived by his wife, Loduska “Dusty” May; his son, Steve May; his daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Cogdal (Jeff), and Kelly McCullough (Jason); grandchildren, Madison May, Kinsley May, Austin Bragg, and Anna Bragg; his sisters, Sue Terry (Brance), Betty Brown (Johnny), Pat Shifflett, Barbara Jean Carpenter and a number of nieces and nephews.
A visitation was conducted on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, TN.
A graveside service will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Friday, September 2, 2022, at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery, Natural Well, with Rev. Andrew Baek officiating. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 4:15 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Cogdal, Jason McCullough, Jamie Gwin, Frenchie Parris, Thomas May, Sherman Callhan, Mike Henderson, and Tony Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Bragg, Rickey May, Eugene May, Brance Terry and Dewey May.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Alive Hospice, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Unit 202, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
