Mrs. Frances Rogers May, age 88, of Low Moor, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Brian Center Nursing Care, Low Moor. She was the wife of the late Thomas Berlin May.
Mrs. May was born July 6, 1934 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Hezry Clayton and Phoebe Keyser Rogers. A lifetime resident of this community, she was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. Frances was a member of Emory United Methodist Church.
Mrs. May is survived by a daughter, Joyce May Owens and husband, Don; a son, Thomas D. May and wife, Kim; two grandchildren, Todd Crawford and wife, Carrie and Tommy Lee Crawford and wife, Jenny; a great grandchild, Samuel Brown Crawford; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. May was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a brother, Donald Rogers and two sisters, Pauline Depriest and Rose Young.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Baek officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cale, Basil May, Larry Owens and Jamie Gwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brance Terry, Earl Broughfman, Jr., Curtis Broughfman, Jesse Broughfman, Frenchie Parris and Dewey May.
