Mrs. Laura Jean McDonald Jamison, age 84, of Covington, died Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Brian Center- Alleghany, Low Moor. She was the wife of James Paul Jamison.
Mrs. Jamison was born January 16, 1938 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Frances Cecilia Loving. A lifetime resident of this community, she was a homemaker who loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Christ United Methodist Church. Laura loved dogs especially her granddog, “Lit’l Dog”.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jamison is survived by two sons, James Paul Jamison, Jr. and wife, Karen and David Lee Jamison; a daughter, Cecilia Ann Jamison; two grandchildren, Ashley Jamison and Heather Jamison; and two great grandchildren, Sahmeah Jamison and Parker Jamison.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Jamison was preceded in death by a special aunt, Grace Loving.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
