Obituary for Edith Arline Harrison (Humphreys)

Mrs. Edith Arline Humphreys Harrison, age 96, of Covington, died Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Bath County Community Hospital, Hot Springs. She was the wife of the late Richard Warren Harrison.
Mrs. Harrison was born December 8, 1923 in Paint Bank, the daughter of the late Charles A. Humphreys and Clara Reynolds Humphreys. She had been employed as a bridal consultant by the former Bobbie Plott Gifts for ten years and was an artist for a number of years. Arline was a longtime member of the Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class. Mrs. Harrison was also a member of the Pines Garden Club. Most of all, Arline loved her family and was very proud of them. She lived for the time that she spent with them especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by a son, Pat Harrison and wife, Erin of Covington; six grandchildren, Chad Harrison, Brandon Harrison and wife, Kasey, Kayla Harrison and friend, Kayla Austin; Warren Harrison, Cory Hank and wife, Crystal and Jeremy Hank; four great grandchildren, Brayden Herald, Brennan Herald, Olivia Harrison and Evan Hank; daughters-in-law, Brenda Harrison and Kim Harrison; caregivers, Sarah Engler and Janice Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by a son, Richard Michael Harrison; a granddaughter, Karrah Harrison; a brother, Paige Humphreys; and a sister, Mary Katherine Weaver.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Sung Yoo officiating.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 W. Main Street, Covington, VA 24426.
