Mrs. Glenna Smith Harmon, age 79, of Covington, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at her residence. She was the wife of Charles W. Harmon.
Mrs. Harmon was born December 14, 1940 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Robert C. Cook and Rachel Arrington Cook. She was a homemaker. Glenna was a member of Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Harmon is survived by a son, Michael “Pat” Smith, Sr. and wife, Emilie of Covington; three grandchildren, Michael Smith, Jr., Casey Smith and Rachel Smith; great grandchild, Navy Grace Smith; two brothers, Mike Cook and Wayne Cook of Covington; two sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Susan Kelley, both of Covington; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Olivia Thompson, Hannah Vance and Sarah Vail.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harmon is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Smith; a great grandson, Easton Smith; two brothers, Robert “Sonny” Cook and Jack Cook; and one sister, Jean Huffman.
A graveside service will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Friday, July 10,2020 at Fletcher Chapel UMC Cemetery.
