Obituary for Sherri Lynn Broughman (Young)
Mrs. Sherri Lynn Young Broughman, age 57, of Covington, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Broughman was born February 24, 1963 in Clifton Forge, the daughter of the late Emory Edward Young and Helen Cooper Vipperman Young. Sherri enjoyed camping, quilting, front porch sitting and hummingbirds.
Mrs. Broughman is survived by her daughter, Cristin Nicole “Nicky” Lewis; grandchildren, Dekker Blake Lewis and Marlin-Alexis Yalania “Lexi” Lewis ; one sister, Patricia Ann Tucker (Joe); two brothers, David Lee Young (Carol) and Emory Eugene Young(Connie); niece,Ashlei Balser;nephews,Aaron Campbell and Brian Balser; best friend, Amber Willard; special friend, Wayne Cook, and numerous great nieces and great nephews
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broughman is preceded in death by her son, Paul Nathan “Tator” Chaplin and niece, Melissa Carroll.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Tucker, Avery Clark, Brian Balser, David Willard, Scottie Rider, and Chris Craft. Honorary pallbearers will be Dekker Lewis and Ladarron Myers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home.
