Obituary for Carlistle Edwards Boguess (Gann)
Mrs. Carlistle Edwards Boguess, age 89, died Friday, February 21, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Boguess was born June 17, 1930 in Bath County, VA, the daughter of the late William and Elva Phillips Gann. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon Edwards and second husband, Billy Lee Boguess, Sr.; a son, Kenneth Boguess; one brother; three sisters; and two stepdaughters.
Mrs. Boguess is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Jerman (JC), Rowena Bennett (Dennis King), Sherry Fridley and Birdena Peters (Larry); her sons, Bill Boguess (Kathy), Billy Boguess, Jr. (Tammy), Emmett Boguess (Jeannie), Alvin Boguess (Sharon) and Roger Boguess (Amy); sister, Margaret Jack (Delano); step-son, Russell Edwards (Wanda); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her cherished dog, Chico.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 27, 2020 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kimberly Gassison, Ron Bennett, Jessie David Fagg, Richie Boguess, Tonya Easton, Dale Boguess, Autin Boguess and Jesse Dawson.
