Obituary for Hilda Faye Duncan (Davis)
Mrs. Hilda Faye Davis Duncan, age 80, of Semora, NC, died Thursday, February 13, 2020, at her son’s residence in Covington. She was the wife of Carl Dean Duncan.
Mrs. Duncan was born July 21, 1939 in Chattum, the daughter of Oscar Linwood Davis and Effie Prosperity Crider Davis. During her working career, she was employed as a school bus driver for the Portsmouth City School System. She enjoyed traveling, clogging, dancing and playing bingo. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Duncan is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Duncan and husband, Howard; three sons, Brennan Duncan and wife, Cindy, Kenneth Duncan and wife, Tammy and Kevin Duncan; four grandchildren, Deanna Hilton, Dean Hilton, Allyson Duncan and Lauren Dinnan; and two step-grandchildren, Evelyn Amos and Patrick Scruggs.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her twin brother, Hilton, brothers, Stokley, Oakley, Stover, Herman, Reece, Odell, Milton, and Robert Davis; sisters, Louise Neathery, Lois Martin, Gypsy Vernon and Irene Mayhew; and a granddaughter, Charlee Faye Duncan.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Leasburg Methodist Church, Leasburg, NC with Rev. Ray Pearce officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at the church.
