Obituary for Bobby Nida
Bobby Leon Nida, age 78, of Covington, died Friday, January 31, 2020, at his residence. He was the husband of Phyllis Harris Nida.
Mr. Nida was born February 21, 1941 in Covington to the late George Wallace Nida and Izetta Wolfe Nida. Mr. Nida was a mechanic and worked for the City of Covington. Bobby loved working on automobiles of all types. He enjoyed working on his farm and tending to his cattle. Bobby was a lifetime member of Boiling Springs Fire Department.
In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Nida is survived by his son, Steven L. Nida and wife Brindi; two daughters, Connie Back and husband Eddie and Christy Woody; five grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00P.M., Monday, February 3, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Harris officiating. The family will receive their friends from 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Keith, Lonnie Givens, Gene Harris, Bucky Mottern, Paul Dameron and Robert Campbell.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637 Clifton Forge, Va 24422.
