Obituary for Otis Wayne Harmon
Mr. Otis Wayne Harmon, age 65, of Lakeland, FL, died Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Harmon was born July 24, 1953 in Mullens, WV, the son of the late Otis Wingo Harmon and Grace Marie Tucker Harmon. He was employed as an HVAC technician with Chapman Plumbing and Heating for twenty- five years and had also worked offshore in Louisiana. Otis enjoyed working with his hands, was known for being able to fix anything and liked working on cars. He was a retired member of the Boiling Springs Fire Department.
Mr. Harmon is survived by a son, Otis L. Harmon and wife, Jennifer; three daughters, Laura Harmon, Sharon O'Conner and husband, Shawn and Linda McKinney and husband, Michael; twenty-two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Harmon Baugh and husband, Ray, Doris Harmon Bowers and husband, David, Brenda Cesario and Jean Klimara; and the mother of his children, Shelia Harmon.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by an infant son, Otis Shane Harmon; a daughter, Theresa Harmon Humphries; two brothers, Calvin Wingo Harmon and Dalford Wade Harmon; a sister, Sylvia Fleener; and a brother-in-law, Steve Klimara.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2019, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Jackie Gaines and Sharon Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
