Mrs. Billisue Quate Markham, age 74, of Covington, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Woodlands, Clifton Forge. She was the wife of Manard “Pete” Markham.
Mrs. Markham was born January 17, 1944, the daughter of Charlotte Jennings Quate and the late Robert “Bob” Daniel Quate. She was a bookkeeper for Phillips Refrigeration for thirty years and also worked for Mountain Air doing their bookkeeping as well.
Mrs. Markham was a member of Granbery United Methodist Church. She loved animals and volunteered at the Humane Society. She also volunteered with the Red Cross.
In addition to her husband, Manard "Pete" Markham, Mrs. Markham is survived by her mother, Charlotte Jennings Quate; stepsons, Patrick Markham (Jennifer), Dennis Markham (Amy); step daughter Becky Leichter (Ron); grandchildren, Chris Markham (Hannah), Tony Leichter (Amy), Shelby Leichter, Ryan Markham, Emma Markham, and Blake Markham; great-grand children, Kale, Memphis and Wilder; her beloved furbabies, Beamer, Anna and Miss Kitty; and her special friends, Joyce Hawks and Geraldine Lee.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Urban officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Markham, Dennis Markham, Ron Leichter, Chris Markham, Tony Leichter and Ryan Markham.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
