Obituary for Bruce Wayne Ailstock

Bruce Wayne  Ailstock
Mr. Bruce Wayne Ailstock, age 56, of Covington, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Lewis-Gale Medical Center, Salem. He was the husband of Teresa Wells Ailstock whom he was married to for twenty-seven years.
Mr. Ailstock was born September 17, 1959, in Alleghany County, a son of William Lee Ailstock Jr. and Bertha Jeanette Noel Ailstock. He was employed by Hammond Mitchell Inc. Bruce was a member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with older cars, and most of all loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, William and Bertha Ailstock, and his wife, Teresa Ailstock, Mr. Ailstock is survived by his son, Zachary Wayne Ailstock and daughter, Kelsey Marie Ailstock, and was preceded in death by an infant daughter. He is also survived by his loving dog, Bella; two brothers, William L. “Skipper” Ailstock III, and wife Donna, and Steven G. Ailstock, and wife, Therese; two sisters, Sandra A. Capps and husband, Benny, and Alicia A. Gibson and husband, Gerald, all of Covington; mother and father in law, Archie W. Wells Jr. and Nancy Havens Wells; sister-in-law Rebecca Vess and husband, Steve; three brothers-in-law Archie Wells and wife, Tina, Harold Wells and wife, Sharon, and John Wells; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Bowser officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Catoe. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Blair Mitchell, Steve Vess, Jr., Jeremy Ailstock, Jonathan Gwin, Daniel Ailstock and Danny Ailstock. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Crowder and Bobby Cale.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until service time at Calvary Baptist Church.
