Obituary for Marie Veronica Quirk

Marie Quirk
Mrs. Marie Veronica Quirk, age 91, of The Golden Living Center, went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 25, 2009, Clifton Forge. She was the widow of the late Harry J. Quirk.

Mrs. Quirk was born October 18, 1918 in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Harold and Louise Kravingy Painter. She and her husband moved to Roanoke in 1973, where they owned and operated the Blue Ridge Nutrition Center for fifteen years at the Lamplighter Mall. While attending St. Andrews Catholic Church and St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Roanoke, she served as Eucharistic Minister to home-bound parishioners. She focused most of her attentions to the home and family that she loved so much.

Mrs. Quirk is survived by two daughters, Cathleen and her husband, John Misorek, Maureen and her husband, John Stec; four grandchildren, Christie Savage, Michael Savage and wife, Alisha, Bridget Stec, Kevin Stec.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday December 29, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Louis Benoit officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Low Moor.

A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass at the church hall.

A Christian Wake will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM at .
