Obituary for Lawana Rae Back
Lawana Rae Back, 77, of Slanesville, WV passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her residence.
Born on March 2, 1941 in Covington, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thurman C. Brown and Louise Craft Watson. She was raised by her grandparents, Bonnie and Aaron Craft, and Aunt Millie Marshall and husband Lacey.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to walk at the beach, read, listen to music, and paint. She leaves behind many paintings and a legacy for her family.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Beverly Williams and Terry Hurt, both of Slanesville, WV; 2 sons, Kevin Back of Sykesville, MD and Craig Back of Arnold, MD, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Bonnie Sue Fortner of Covington, VA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home, Covington, VA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
