Mr. Christopher Michael Daugherty, age 33, of Covington, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor. He was the husband of Heather Rose Daugherty.
Mr. Daugherty was born October 11, 1984 in Low Moor, the son of Michael Ray Daugherty and wife, Darlene and mother, Joyce Bostic. He was employed by WestRock where he worked in the woodyard section of the mill. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting, bear hunting as well as fishing. Most of all, he loved hanging out with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Heather Daugherty, Mr. Daugherty is survived by his father, Michael Ray Daugherty and wife, Darlene of Covington; his mother, Joyce Bostic of Maxwelton, WV; two sons, Michael Eli Daugherty and Connor Lee Daugherty, both of Covington; a daughter, Veronica Taylor Daugherty of Covington; two brothers, Cody Allen Daugherty of Sweet Springs, WV and Brandon Bostic of Morgantown, WV; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terry and Tammy Rose; and brother-in-law, Jonathan Rose of Covington.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2018, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Sweet Springs.
Pallbearers will be Ellis Bates, Bobby Gaines, Adam Harris, Jimmy Walton, Jr., Chuckie Walton, Jr. and Rick Barner.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times, at the residence of Terry and Tammy Rose, 426 Rogers Road, Callaghan.
