Ms. Brenda Joyce Montgomery Lemon, age 69, of Clifton Forge, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Ms. Lemon was born February 23, 1947 in Covington, the daughter of the late Linwood “Rudy” Montgomery and Gladys Irene Spangler Montgomery. A lifetime resident of this area, she was a graduate of Covington High School. Brenda was employed as a nurse’s aide by the Highland House.
Ms. Lemon is survived by a son, James “Kirk” Arritt and wife, Carla of Covington; a daughter, Lisa Lemon of Bluefield, WV; three grandchildren, Crystal Herstine and husband, Adam, Lacy Arritt and Jamie Arritt; two great grandchildren, Kember Herstine and Lydia Herstine; and two sisters, Barbara Bowling of Hopewell and Sue Bell and husband, Lester of Petersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Lemon was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Montgomery.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2017, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon following the service at Loving Funeral Home.
