Mr. Basil Ballard Dunbar, Jr. , age 69 of Covington, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Woodlands, Clifton Forge. He was the husband of Margaret Looney Dunbar.
Mr. Dunbar was born February 27, 1949 in Waitsville, WV, the son of the late Basil Ballard Dunbar, Sr. and Christine Eppling Dunbar. He had been employed as a machine operator by the former Hercules, Inc. and AET for forty-two and a half years. He enjoyed country music, watching NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife of forty-seven years, Margaret Looney Dunbar, Mr. Dunbar is survived by two sons, Chad Alan Dunbar and wife Mindi of Buena Vista and Adam Clay Dunbar at home; a grandson, Jordan Nicholas Dunbar of Buena Vista; and his beloved cats, Butterball and Jill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
