Winifred Tucker Armstrong, age 93, of Covington VA, died April 4, 2015.
Mrs. Armstrong was born November 14, 1921 at Jordon Mines, Va. She was a daughter of the late Grant Tucker and Eva McCallister Tucker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie E. Armstrong and a son, James Michael Armstrong.
Surviving are 3 children, Dianne A. Wright, Dale E. Armstrong and Jeanette E. Armstrong, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Rick Wright, James Wright, Stuart Turner, Christopher Scott “Scotty” Armstrong, Michael Casalena, and Brian “Kevin” Wright.
Honorary pallbearer will be Sean Turner and Nathan Lee, Jr.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to service in the chapel of Loving Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
