Obituary for Frank David Eubank

Mr. Frank David Eubank, age 86, of Covington, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Eubank was born September 2, 1927 in Amherst County, the son of the late Bullard Robert Eubank and Carrie Lane Burks Eubank. He was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1944 and went to work for Covington Grocery where he worked with the account receivable ledger and ration stamps. Mr. Eubank entered the United States Army where he served his country as a clerk at both the Separation Center at Fort Meade, MD and MPS in California during World War II. Following his military service, Frank returned to Covington to work at Westvaco for fifteen years. At this time, Mr. Eubank moved to California where he was employed as a concession manager at Dodger Stadium until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 4, the Covington Moose Lodge and the American Association of Retired People.
Mr. Eubank is survived by one niece, Carolyn Gilchrist of Leesburg; three nephews, Robert Smith of Columbia, SC, Ralph Wayne Eubank and Mike Eubank both of Texas; and great friends, Tony and Cindy Scialoia and Steve and Brenda Draper, all of Covington.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eubank was preceded in death by three sisters, Robbie Upton of Arlington, Nancy Smith of Columbia, SC, and Rachel Gilchrist of Port Richey, FL; and one brother, Ralph Eubank of Houston, TX.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Cary Lamb, Jr. officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Gilliland.
Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Cedar Hill Cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to a charity of your choice.
